Properties: White or gray-white particles, soluble in water, acidic aqueous solution, insoluble in alcohol, acetone and ammonia. It reacts with alkali to release ammonia. Easy to get wet.
Uses: Chemical industry is used as raw material for hydrogen peroxide, ammonium alum and ammonium chloride production, welding industry as welding flux, textile industry as fire retardant for fabric. Electroplating industry is used as bath additive. Agricultural use as nitrogen fertilizer, suitable for general soil and crops. Food-grade products are used as dough conditioners and yeast nutrients.
